It was a good morning here today. I love waking up to my little guy smiling and talking away, touching my face.
I waited all morning for my package of Scentsy to arrive. I'm like a kid on Christmas when I get either A) New Scentsy or B) a new book in the mail. So fun. We're running a "Bring Back My Bar" promotion for the month of January; 20 discontinued scents are making an appearance once again for this month only. A few of us went in on the bars together so we could each have a little to make samples for our customers with. They may never come back again after this, so its exciting to smell stuff that is "special"...its also fun to smell things and have a memory pop into your head. Today, after they arrived, I was opening each bar, smelling them one by one, and I got to "Falling Leaves" and it reminded me of my Grandpa. I used to spend the night there as a kid and when we'd get up on Sunday morning to get ready for church he'd come out of the bathroom all showered and clean. For whatever reason, "Falling Leaves" makes me think of him. Its description is "clove, cinnamon, and patchouli" - No, my Grandpa is not a hippie (even though the description makes it sound like he is) must have been something in his aftershave or cologne...at any rate, it makes me think of him.
I finished Room today, so now I'll be starting House Rules by Jodi Picoult - hope its good!!! Room was excellent, I really loved it!
